Build A Home For Silpi

Smilez completed this 2026 housing project, providing a new home for Silpi and her family.

At the time of the project, Silpi Akter Sipa was living in poverty after her husband had left her. Her household comprised four family members. The family was living in extremely deprived conditions and needed a safe and secure home.

The family was struggling to afford food while also living in a dilapidated house.

The completed project provided Silpi and her family with a small one-bedroom house with a kitchen and front porch.

The home was constructed using high-quality bricks for the foundation and lower part of the house, concrete pillars for the framework and premium tin and wood for the walls and roof. The completed home provided the family with a safe home that was built to last for many years.

Project cost: £700
