Eid-Ul Adha 2024 – Qurbani
Thanks to you (our generous donors) we have achieved our goal and raised the funds required.
For many families living below the poverty line in Bangladesh their diet consists only of rice and vegetables as the price of fish, poultry and meat is very high.
During the festival of Eid-ul Adha (a national celebration in Bangladesh) Smilez will provide portions of meat to 300 families so that they can eat high quality, fresh and premium meat at least once a year. Each family portion will be sufficient for at least one wholesome meal.
To provide 400 portions of meat we require 3 large cows.
The cost of each Cow is £700 and there are seven donation slots per cow.
This is a fixed donation campaign with each donation package costing £100.
A total of £2,100 will be raised (i.e. 3 cows times 7 donation packages times £100 per package)
Your donations will cover:
- Purchasing the cows from local farmers
- Sheltering, feeding and watering for one week
- Providing 24/7 security personnel to protect from theft
- Slaughtering and creating 300 portions of meat
- Distribution of meat to 300 families.
