Winter 2020 – Bringing out Warm Smiles

Help the poor, needy, elderly and the vulnerable by providing Thermal Blankets this Winter

For millions around the world, the winter season can be a extremely life threating time especially for the most vulnerable and needy. As most of us are fortunate in staying safe indoors where possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19, as well as keeping out of the harsh cold, not many around the world are in this position.

In Bangladesh, the winter season is very bitter and harsh causing illnesses, diseases and in most cases death. There are many people who are in urgent need and require our help to be relieved from this suffering.

At Smilez we believe that everyone should be safe and therefore have access to basic aid such as blankets to keep warm.

So, this winter, the Smilez Winter Campaign will be distributing Thermal Blankets to the vulnerable and needy living in the town centre of Sylhet, Bangladesh.

The blankets will be distributed to:

  • Those living in rough conditions on the streets
  • The elderly people
  • Those living in shanty towns, including small families

The cost of a double sized blanket is £10. Our target was to raise money for 300 blankets in 10 days.
